Dare She Kiss And Tell? And Inspiration

I’m super excited about my upcoming release.  Dare She Kiss And Tell is out on the shelves in the UK in June, but it’s available now as an epub on the Mills & Boon website.  People often ask me where I get my ideas, and this particular story was a lot of fun. So, looking for an excuse for another post to put up my favorite cover to date *insert big grin* I decided to share the inspiration for my latest release.

I was enjoying a break from writing one day, flipping through the Times Magazine, when I came across a tiny blurb about an app that would notify you if someone you were interested in suddenly changed their relationship status on Facebook.  This really appealed to my love of the absurd, and, as a working mother who adores any gadget that can save me time, I then started wondering if there was an app that would do your breaking up for you. Instantly, the idea of the Ditchinator popped into my head. And my first question was, “what would motivate someone to create such an app?”

My journalist heroine, Carly Phillips, has exactly the same question, and, as she chases Hunter Phillips for the answer, some serious sparks are created along the way…

Happy reading, everybody!

Cover Love!

Today I’m super excited to share the cover on my next release. Dare She Kiss And Tell? will be out in the UK in June. Isn’t it gorgeous? Don’t you love those arms? I’m such a sucker for a nice set of biceps . . .

Hunter and Carly’s story was a blast to write, mostly because she’s my spunkiest heroine to date. And that’s saying something! Now, for the blurb:

Introducing Hunter Philips—the heartbreaker of Miami…

Hunter Philips sends Carly Wolfe’s journalistic radar into overdrive—what kind of heartless man invents a callous break-up app called The Ditchinator? Challenging him to a TV showdown, she doesn’t bank on Hunter’s ice-blue stare and lethal charisma setting her heart racing…

After a professional scandal resulted in her losing her job, Carly has relegated love to the back page. A sizzling fling with Hunter would definitely stretch her ‘no emotional involvement’ rule to breaking point, but what’s an enterprising journalist to do? It might be all to get a headline—but Carly’s hoping her plan won’t backfire in her usual spectacular style…

Ahh, I love a heroine who can’t keep her mouth shut :)
